On Monday, October 4, 2022, I shared investment tips on what I’ve called lifetime investment for prosperity. And listed them as land, real estate, oil, gold, and agriculture.
Now, let me share with you what the Bible says about these five investments and one other investment that I did not include in the article but it comes very well in the Bible.
Genesis will be our book reference
So, take a walk with me.
In Genesis Chapter 2, from verses four to twenty-five verse; God gives his thoughts about and insights about wealth creation.
This is how he did it. But first, remember this, wealth is created NOT earned wealth. Perhaps you are familiar with the wealth creation mantra.
I believe you are. Anyway, creation is the foundation of wealth accumulation. Here is what I know from the Bible, God’s instruction manual.
It’s called the Holy book; a book of life, and finally the book of presence. It details God’s information life and livelihood.
In verse 4, we’re taken through creation account of the heavens and the earth. And in verse 5, we’re told that after creating heavens and earth God didn’t introduce shrubs and plants yet grow on the earth. Meaning no plants or trees were growing on the surface of the earth at that time.
WHY?
Because Adam was not created and there was no rain yet. Take note of why God withheld the rain. There was no one to work the ground or tilth the land.
Here is where agriculture is introduced to us – no one to work the ground. Remember, work is divine, too.
However, there was water. The Bible tells me that streams came up from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground.
In 7 verse, God creates Adam and breathes in life. It’s here that the Bible speaks to us of God planting a garden in the east of Eden and placing Adam there. Then, he (God) made all kinds of trees grow from the ground.
QUESTION?
When did God make all kinds of trees grow out of the ground? And where?
The answers are in Genesis, the second chapter in the 8 and 9 verses respectively.
In verse 10, God tells us of a river watering the garden that flowed from Eden, and it’s here that the river separated into four tributaries: Pishon being the first river and watering the entire land of Havilah, where Gold was found.
Gold is one of the five-lifetime investments we listed above. Right?
In the 12 verses, we’re told of good gold in the land; aromatic resin and onyx are also here in the same verse. God introduces us to resin, which is oil which is another investment asset I have listed in the previous article. Then, he (God) tells us of onyx which is a precious gem or valuable
Now, let us get to the second river.
In brief, God in the instruction manual revealed to man things he or she should invest in for prosperity. And as per this water, they include
- Water
- Agriculture
- Gold
- Oil
- Land which you can transform into real estate or hospital or school for business.
The Bible teaches us that God had delayed the rain for a purpose. He completed the creation.
And the message was that no man at the time tenders the land. Adam wasn’t yet created to tender the ground.
The other three rivers are Tigris, Gihon, and the Euphrates.
In brief, you can’t go wrong investing in water, agriculture, gold, and oil.
In short, you and I’ve all the tools in the toolbox but we have refused to utilize them to glorify God.
