The US-based televangelist Creflo Dollar’s recent confession that he has all along misled his viewers on the subject of Tithing isn’t a surprise to me.
Dollar, a crusader of the prosperity gospel, the gospel of giving to appease God to unleash blessings upon the giver has no biblical grounding. It has never been biblical.
“Today, I stand in humility to correct some things I have taught for years and believed for years but could never understand clearly because I had not been confronted with the Gospel of grace, which has made the difference.” Says Dollar
Unfortunately, witty preachers with manipulative characteristics thrive on congregants’ ignorant by twisting God’s words for their selfish gain.
The bible says people perish for lack of knowledge. That’s why these witty preachers with manipulative characters have been selectively using the bible to enrich them while their congregants continue to struggle financially.
