Writing is an art, not a science. It is a construction of words to form meaning for the purpose of communicating, informing, educating, or entertaining.
Writing is fun, especially if you have mastery over it. It’s a fulfilling vibe that brings out the imagination to action. And it is only through writing that an invisible is transformed into reality.
An idea or a thought in the mind is only fantasy if it is not put into written words. And it’s only made possible, meaningful, and relatable when transformed into patterns through writing. Remember, the word does become flesh – the Book of life.
Writing is an art enjoyed by thinkers, reformers, and transformers, those who love writing. Writers and philosophers use writing to create. The writer uses writing to display a mastery of language and to communicate a message that cannot be communicated via a spoken word. It communicates a message in an artistry and mind-boggling way.
Writing helps a writer to place mental images into forms and patterns that are comprehensible and relatable to the real world.
Writing gives both the author and reader the same utility in an unprecedented way that you cannot express in spoken words.
It is said if you want to be a writer you just write. With sustained writing comes perfection. You can write about your observations, feelings, and emotions. You can write about happenings around you, your social life, and other people’s life. You can write about the political situation in your country or the economic situation of your country
You can write about culture, business, entrepreneurs, or entrepreneurship or write about scientific discoveries, and technology and you can write about everything or anything.
Writing is a way of re-connecting yourself to your authentic self. Writing allow you to participate in the global debate on Issues or things affecting you and others around you.
Writings allow you to truly experience the concept of “Ubuntu”. The concept of ‘I am because you are’, is the concept of South Africa.
Ubuntu concept did assist South Africans to emerge strong and socially connected from all the evils of Apartheid regimes that bedeviled them for years.
I have respect for those who have managed to record their vision, mission, thoughts, ideas, concepts in books, and academic empirical or theoretical articles. Those writers are living beyond their physical being because they are alive in their books and articles.
You can’t compare a writer or a renowned musician to a billionaire who only possesses material wealth in form of assets (physical assets). When a billionaire dies his wealth is transferable to his heir thus he or she losses ownership.
However, a writer lives on in his books. Books are his/he legacy.
That is why I say the world is ruled and led by dead people. We are using their concepts, principles, and laws to govern ourselves and the world. Those individuals are alive. It is my prayer that I join them by capturing my imaginations and thoughts in a book or books
